"COME" is a small word but it carries biblical weight.
Your kingdom COME. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10
What really matters?
Do we want HIS kingdom to COME here?
Do we want HIS kingdom to replace our little, human-built kingdoms?
Do I want HIS kingdom to also replace my smaller, individually-built kingdom in my heart that says, "I want my way."?
YOU ARE INCLUDED
"COME" is an invitation.
"COME" welcomes you and me, and everyone.
"COME" includes you and me, and everyone.
"COME" treats us as insiders.
"COME" encourages us to move into a better place.
Peter responded and said to Him [Jesus], "Lord, if it is You, command me to COME to You on the water."
And He said, "COME!" And Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. Matthew 14:28-29
A word from the Lord Jesus Christ may seem a little intimidating for us to do it, but with His help, we CAN walk on whatever water He wants for us.
"I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
Again, He sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "See, I have prepared My dinner; My oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. COME to the wedding."' Matthew 22:4
The Lord has prepared a table for you and me in the presence of our enemies. Psalm 23:5
Let's COME and eat. John 21:12
Then the King will say to those on His right hand, "COME, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:" Matthew 25:34
It's almost as though it's too good to be true. So, the King has to say to you and me, "COME" and inherit the kingdom prepared for you by My Father. You are blessed by Him.
YOU CAN BE REMEMBERED
Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You COME into Your kingdom." Luke 23:42
Such a simple prayer. But when this criminal was dying on a cross next to the Savior of the world, could it be any more powerful or heartfelt? Luke 23:32-33
Can we each say, "Lord, please remember me when You COME in the glory of Your Father with the holy angels"? Mark 8:38
For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to COME. 1 Timothy 4:8
There's a life which is to COME.
Jesus is preparing places for believers there.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will COME again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:2-3
And the Spirit and the bride say, "COME!" And let him who hears say, "COME!" And let him who thirsts COME. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17
COME and get it! It's free!
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly."
Amen. Even so, COME, Lord Jesus! Revelation 22:20
