Is it wrong to look for holes in someone's defense armor?

Believers are to go into all of the world to teach and preach the Lord Jesus Christ and His salvation. Mark 16:15; John 15:27; Acts 1:8; 5:42; 28:30-31

To find a hole might be important to open someone's eyes Acts 26:18 that have been blinded spiritually. 2 Corinthians 4:4

Is it wrong to look for dents in someone's armor where an IMPRESSION has been made Acts 24:25; 26:24-28 but a hole hasn't yet formed to allow truth to penetrate fully with an understanding of its importance? Matthew 13:18-19

Is it wrong to consider how to create dents or holes in someone's armor?

STRATEGIES

For some we might need to ask questions.

While the Pharisees [Jewish religious leaders] were assembled, Jesus questioned them:

"What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is He?" Matthew 22:41-42

For others they might be drawn John 6:44-45 through the stories we create to illustrate truth or the actual parables of Jesus. Matthew 13:10, 34-35

Give mercy to some, that is, NOT scolding them for doubting or living inappropriately, while others need to be rescued. Jude vs.22-23

Reaching others can be done...

Compassionately. Matthew 9:36

Compellingly. Acts 9:28-29; 17:17-18; 18:19; 19:8

Apologetically; that is, showing from the Bible what's true. Acts 17:1-3; 18:27-28

We can trust the Lord Jesus Christ to give us what we need.

"For I will give you speech and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict." Luke 21:15; Acts 6:8-10

Let's work on doing what Paul advised --

Act wisely toward outsiders, redeeming the time.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:5-6

Your thoughts?
