Avoid negative, editorial comments

For example, someone demands, "Where's my bag?"

You reply, "I don't know."

The angry, second command comes quickly, "Look for it!"

You start looking for it when the "Commander" says, "Here it is, right over there!"

And then, the negative, editorial comments burst forth --

"The problem with you is, you never know what's around you. And you always miss things!"

Should spiritual people stop making these negative generalizations?

When they refer to some weakness in another person, "Never" and "Always" don't build up but tear down.

Something to work on might be this -

Let our words always be with grace (unearned and undeserved favor), seasoned with salt, so that we know how we should answer everyone in ways that will encourage them. Ephesians 4:29; Colossians 4:6

Never have corrupt words flow. James 3:8-10

Your thoughts?
