Be careful that there's not another Jesus

Are you someone who identifies with the Christian faith, or another faith, or none?
Maybe you've investigated Christianity and found out, "Hey, it's not what I thought it was."
"Too many hypocrites. Christians in name only. Not serious about it."
A problem with looking at Christians and Christianity is that this view may overlook the center of this faith: Jesus of Nazareth.
He goes by other names or titles such as the Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah, God the Word, the Son of God, the Lamb of God, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the King of kings and Lord of Lords, the Good Shepherd, and the Savior of the world, to mention a few.
So, those who claim to follow Him but don't live according to His life, wouldn't it be their fault?
Hopefully, they are a work in progress.
What about the committed believers who have put their faith in Jesus to save them by God the Father's grace through faith? Ephesians 2:8
These followers have tasted of the heavenly gift and more, Hebrews 6:4-5 and been born again spiritually. John 1:12-13; 3:3
Do they need to be cautious to NOT follow "another Jesus" and "another gospel" to avoid being corrupted? 2 Corinthians 11:3-4
Perhaps, because the devil as a roaring lion walks around seeking whom he may devour. 1 Pet 5:8
In modern times, some have said that Jesus was always nice to everyone, never said a harsh word, accepted people just as they were, and never commanded nor demanded.
In the New Testament of the Bible, Jesus called people snakes, evil, blind leaders of the blind, hard-hearted, hypocrites, children of hell, blind guides, fools, white-washed grave stones whose contents were filled with dead bones, uncleanness, hypocrisy, and sin, in error because they didn’t know the Scriptures nor the power of God, graves, from beneath and of this world, of their father the devil, and liars. Jesus also told them that they had made the temple a den of thieves, didn’t have God’s word nor His love in them, burdened others with rules but didn’t do these themselves, and would be thrown out of the kingdom of God. Mt.12:34; 15:12-14; 19:8; 22:18; 23:15-17, 27-28; Mk.3:5; 7:6-8; 12:24; Lk.11:44-46; 13:28; 19:45-46; John 5:38, 42; 8:23, 44, 55
After healing someone, He said, "Go and sin no more so that a worse thing doesn't come to you." John 5:12-14
After forgiving another, Jesus commanded, "Go and sin no more." John 8:11
Jesus said that people, you and me, are to repent [change our way of thinking and turn around 180 degrees] and believe the gospel. Mark 1:15; Luke 24:47
Sin and sins are to be left behind as we follow Him. Luke 17:3-4; Romans 6:1-2; Galatians 2:20; 1 Peter 2:24-25; 1 John 1:9-10; 2:1-2
Jesus said that He only said what the Father told Him to say. John 12:48-50
Sometimes for a believer and not-yet-a-believer, "another Jesus" we look at might be because we skip some of what Jesus said and did.
We stop examining what the Bible says about Him before we get a complete profile. John 12:45; John 14:6-10; Hebrews 1:1-4
Jesus was and is a friend of sinners, Mark 2:15-17; Luke 15:1 you and me, Romans 3:23 so that He could come and be a guest in our homes and change us. Luke 19:1-10
I want the real Jesus.
How about you?
Let's keep learning and growing in our knowledge of Him. 2 Peter 1:2; 3:18
Your thoughts?
