There are some potential problems with this plea, "Can't we all be changed?"
Most of us like the way we are.
We think that others should change, not us.
Second, what kind of changes could happen and how?
For those of us who've tried to break a bad habit or follow a good one, we've realized that it's tough to do.
A negative doctor's report or lab test might alert us to a need to change but do we really want to?
No.
A common writing pattern in the New Testament will reveal how blessed you are and then tell you to change.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. Ephesians 1:3-5
Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another. Ephesians 4:25
How do we stop the bad and start and continue the good?
Ah yes, the true spiritual life.
Suggestion:
There's help from heaven.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Romans 8:12-14
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16
