"Don't you know who I am?"

Have you ever had something like this said to you personally or to a group you were with?
Someone who believes that they're very important may say this --
"Don't you know who I am?"
It's as though they expect us to know that they have some high position which should make us want to "bow to them" in humble gratitude that they've graced us with their presence.
They can hardly believe that we don't know who they are because they maintain such an exalted view of themselves.
Their tone also indicates that they want us to acknowledge that they ARE better than we are and should quickly take our lower positions, ready to listen to what they have to say.
Maybe in a spiritually-tender, gentle, and yet truthful way, we could say,
"Don't you know who I am?"
What would we try to communicate if we did this?
That you and I have value.
Even though others may continue to live in pride and look down on others, we don't need to think lower of ourselves.
Why?
If the Lord Jesus Christ is our Savior, we've been born of God the Father John 1:10-13; 3:3-5 and are His adopted children. Ephesians 1:3-5
That's why.
If the puffed up person isn't yet a believer, they can be.
Everyone whom the Father gives Me [Jesus] will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never send away. John 6:37
For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
Could our reply of, "Don't you know who I am?" give us a door of opportunity 1 Corinthians 16:9; Ephesians 6:19 to share the unsearchable riches of Christ? Ephesians 3:8
Your thoughts?
