Do many of us have an overinflated view of ourselves?

Perhaps, we major on our strengths and overlook our weaknesses when judging ourselves.

So, we think that others should also see our nice parts and understand that we're special.

In all of this one-sided thinking, where are the concepts that the Lord Jesus Christ spoke about concerning humility?

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted. Luke 14:11

And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.” Mark 9:35

Paul wrote that with humility we can consider others to be better than ourselves Philippians 2:3 and not to think more highly of ourselves because God the Father has given faith to every believer. Romans 12:3

Can we move toward this kind of selfless living as a lifelong process?

I do not mean that I am already as God wants me to be. I have not yet reached that goal, but I continue trying to reach it and to make it mine. Christ wants me to do that, which is the reason He made me his. Philippians 3:12

Whenever and wherever we may feel unfairly criticized, mocked, ignored, undervalued, or alone, we could think,

"How can I help OTHERS find justice, fairness, feel important, cherished, and accepted unconditionally?"

Your thoughts?
