What?

Instead of these words, think of --

Happily or unhappily, thankfully or unthankfully, favorably or unfavorably, something was done, said, or thought.

Isn't life like this?

Things come at us.

We have pleasant thoughts, negative thoughts, uplifting words spoken to us, words that hurt us, something done that thrills us, or some action that isn't what we wanted.

Fortunately, there's help in time of need.

Therefore since we have a great high priest Who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but One Who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help. Hebrews 4:14-16

Unfortunately, many of us aren't in a position to receive this help.

We aren't yet in a relationship with the One Who can assist.

Why not?

Unhappily, we don't believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father. John 14:6

It seems too restrictive in today's world where there are many gods and lords. 1 Corinthians 8:5

Thankfully, there are people who believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world. John 4:25, 26, 29-30, 39-42; 1 John 4:9-10, 14; 5:11-12

But, they have NOT yet been born anew spiritually through Him.

Jesus responded and said to him [a religious leader], "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a person be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?"

Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'" John 3:3-7

Some haven't heard that to have a religion or spiritual views are no substitutes for becoming a child of God the Father through faith in Jesus. John 1:12-13; Ephesians 1:3-6

I thought I was a Christian until I became a Christian.

I believed that Jesus was one with the Father, John 10:30 divine as God the Word, John 1:1-2, 14; Colossians 2:9 and the Savior of the world. 1 Timothy 1:15

But unfortunately, I had never believed in my heart, which is necessary. Romans 10:9-10

It was a mental agreement but no spiritual birth had occurred in me.

I was NOT a new creation in Jesus, which is what matters. 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15

Favorably, you and I CAN believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and that God the Father raised Him from the dead. Romans 10:6-10

God the Father is drawing people to His Son, Jesus. John 6:44-45

Jesus is drawing people to Himself. John 12:32-33

The Holy Spirit is convincing people of their need to trust in Jesus as their personal Savior. John 15:26; 16:7-11

Fortunately, Jesus says to each, "Would you like to know Me personally?"

If we say, "Yeah," as I did, He will never drive us away. John 6:37

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. John 3:16-17

Lord, I believe. John 9:38

Scripture says, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13

The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires, take the water of life without cost. Revelation 22:17

Fortunately, happily, thankfully, and favorably, today can be our day of salvation because now is the acceptable time. 2 Corinthians 6:2
