Have you met people like that?
You never hear them talk about any failures, weaknesses, or mistakes in them or their family.
It's as though they're superpeople or divine.
Is it really that they never lose at anything?
Is it really that their characters are perfect?
Is this how spiritual people are to present themselves?
That they are excellent and in need of no improvement?
You say, "I am rich, and I have become wealthy and do not need anything." But you do not know that you are really miserable, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. Revelation 3:17
These were Christians Jesus communicated to. Revelation 3:14, 19
Look at Paul.
He wrote, This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15
He considered that he wasn't worthy to be a sent person by the Lord 1 Corinthians 15:9 and was less than all other believers. Ephesians 3:8
But by the grace of God Paul was who he was. 1 Corinthians 15:10
So, he wasn't ashamed to admit weakness.
But He [Jesus] said to me, “My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, My power is made perfect in you.” So I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can live in me. For this reason I am happy when I have weaknesses, insults, hard times, sufferings, and all kinds of troubles for Christ. Because when I am weak, then I am truly strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
