"I couldn't live without my ______"

Some of us think that we couldn't live without our cats or dogs (or other companion animals).

Others know that they couldn't live without their car or truck (or both).

We couldn't live without our homes, spouses, jobs or whatever or whomever.

As an alternative to being attached to things on the earth, for us who are developing spiritually, consider the Bible's Paul.

He wrote,

For me to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

He also wrote,

If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, Who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4
