I used to...

What did we use to do that we don't do anymore?
Is this because we're spiritual people?
We don't make the same mistakes, commit the same sins, and are not as easily angered or depressed or anxious?
Have we put off the past person and put on the new person?
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 6:1-2
What about things we used to do as spiritual people but no longer do?
Did we use to tell others about our spiritual relationship?
Did we regularly attend meetings with those who had the same belief system as we?
Did we use to give our time, money, and talents that we don't anymore?
Why don't we now do these things?
What are some possible reasons?
Even as spiritual people, have we not followed teachings that we know to be true and could get back to?
Maybe some lessons from "I used to..." could be these --
We can grow to be better.
Because of this, since the day we heard about you, we have continued praying for you, asking God that you will know fully what He wants.
We pray that you will also have great wisdom and understanding in spiritual things so that you will live the kind of life that honors and pleases the Lord in every way.
You will produce fruit in every good work and grow in the knowledge of God.
God will strengthen you with His own great power so that you will not give up when troubles come, but you will be patient. Colossians 1:9-11
Or we can go backward, sometimes so gradually that we may not be aware that we've slipped.
Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. Hebrews 2:1
Perhaps, you know that you are NOT where you want to be.
You've returned to a lifestyle that Peter describes as not pretty. 2 Peter 2:20-22
The Father can reach with His love, unearned favor, and mercy as He steers us in the right direction.
He hears us in His acceptable time. Today is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:1-2
Everyone whom the Father gives Me [Jesus] will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never send away. John 6:37
