The Lord Jesus Christ turned water into wine at a wedding, about 120-180 gallons worth! John 2:1-10

Jesus performed this, the first of His signs, at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him. John 2:11

Jesus healed a royal official's son. John 4:46-53

This was now the second sign that Jesus performed after coming from Judea into Galilee. John 4:54

In your opinion, is it a miracle if the physical laws of nature are suspended or broken so that someone receives a supernatural blessing?

In your opinion, is it a "miracle" if someone receives forgiveness of sins when they don't deserve it?

If you answered, "Yes," to these questions, this message could encourage you to believe that you also can receive a miracle from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. John 5:19; 10:25, 32; Acts 2:22; Hebrews 2:4

MORE MIRACLES

Jesus healed a man who was crippled for 38 years. John 5:1-9

Afterward, Jesus found the man at the temple and said to him,

"See, you have been made well. Stop sinning, or something worse may happen to you." John 5:14

Jesus fed thousands from 5 barley loaves and 2 small fish. John 6:4-11

And when everyone was full, He said to His disciples,

"Gather the pieces that are left over, so that nothing will be wasted."

So they collected them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten. John 6:12-13

Jesus walked on water. John 6:16-20

Then they were willing to take Him into the boat, and at once the boat reached the shore where they were heading. John 6:21

Jesus forgave a woman caught in adultery. John 8:2-9

Then Jesus straightened up and asked her,

"Woman, where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you?"

"No one, Lord," she answered.

"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Now go and sin no more." John 8:10-11

Jesus healed a man blind from birth. John 9:1-15

When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, He found the man and said,

"Do you believe in the Son of Man?"

"Who is He, Sir?" he replied. "Tell me so that I may believe in Him."

"You have already seen Him," Jesus answered. "He is the One speaking with you."

"Lord, I believe," he said. And he worshiped Jesus.

Then Jesus declared,

"For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind may see and those who see may become blind." John 9:35-39

Jesus raised a man from the dead who had been buried for 4 days. John 11:17, 38-39

After Jesus had said this, He called out in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!"

The man who had been dead came out with his hands and feet bound in strips of linen, and his face wrapped in a cloth.

"Unwrap him and let him go," Jesus told them. John 11:43-44

Jesus rises from the dead after being in the tomb for 3 days. Matthew 27:62-65; John 19:38-42; 20:1-2, 6-7, 13-20

"The reason the Father loves Me [Jesus] is that I lay down My life in order to take it up again.

No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord.

I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.

This charge I have received from My Father." John 10:17-18

Then Jesus said to Thomas,

"Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe."

Thomas replied, "My Lord and my God!" John 20:27-28

REAL MIRACLES, BUT FROM WHOM OR WHERE?

Sometimes people will say or write,

"If there is a god, God, or whatever, I know that this Being helped me; actually saved me from death when I was younger."

Others may claim that the divine person or persons they trust in did something supernatural for them, which proves that their God or gods are the real ones, and none else.

So, one has to be careful when speaking of miracles as the ultimate proof of the way of truth.

Why?

The Bible has examples of supernatural events that the authors state did NOT or will NOT come from the God of heaven. Acts 4:24-28

Those who withstood Moses 2 Timothy 3:8 performed some supernatural signs. Exodus 7:8-13, 17-22; 8:1-7

The Lord Jesus Christ spoke of future false Christs and false prophets who would do great signs and wonders. Matthew 24:24

Paul wrote about the end times and satanic power, signs, and false wonders 2 Thessalonians 2:9 as did John. Revelation 13:11-15; 16:13-14; 19:20

DO YOU HAVE A PERSONAL MIRACLE STORY?

There are many kinds of "miracles," aren't there?

There are healings of the body, deliverance from demons, disaster, debt, depression, and dumb thinking and talking.

When people experience a miracle, this is usually hard to forget.

Perhaps many believe that these came from the heart and hands of the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Whoever hates Me [Jesus] hates My Father as well.

If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father.

But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: 'They hated Me without reason.'" John 15:23-25

Those who have received a miracle might say or write,

"This beginning of miracles was when I had an ear infection for several weeks. I had prayed for others to be healed and they received. But I needed to know that I ALSO could receive Jesus' healing touch by faith in Him.

I prayed, 'Father, if I could just lie down without any pain.' I started to lie down while watching a TV evangelist preaching. As my head was almost touching a pillow, a warmth covered my ear. I was able to lie down without pain. When I awoke from my nap, I was pain-free!"

Another may say or write,

"This second miracle was when I was riding a bike. The road had an uneven part of it as the pavement was raised several inches above the other part. I didn't know it then. My bike's front tire hit that raised part of the pavement and I and the bike quickly tipped over to be almost touching the ground.

But then immediately, I and the bike stood up vertically as if someone had grabbed and flipped us upright to prevent this accident."

If believers think about their past, they probably have many more instances of the Lord's healing mercy and protective care. Psalm 91:1-7; Matthew 6:13; 20:30-34; Luke 17:12-14; John 17:15; 1 Peter 5:6-7

Along with believers years ago who retold the miracles and wonders God the Father had done among the non-Jews who received the gospel message, Acts 15:12 we can also join that great cloud of witnesses. Hebrews 12:1

We might testify,

"Jesus has done many other things in our lives. Some of them have been indisputable and all have been marvelous in our eyes." Matthew 21:42; John 21:25; Acts 1:3

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

"I will give You thanks, for You have answered me, and You have become my salvation." Psalm 118:21
