HIS INVITATION

On Palm Sunday in March of 1980, in a theater I watched the movie, Jesus, which was based upon the gospel of Luke in the New Testament of the Bible.

The thought came to me, "You don't know Me personally."

I had never been told that I could know the Lord in a personal way.

Later during the movie another thought came, "Do you want to know Me personally?"

In my heart, I had a short response: "Yeah."

The next day I went to work and told my colleagues about Jesus as though I had known Him for years.

Around 2 weeks later, I was reading in John Chapter 3 where Jesus told a religious leader that people needed to be born again. John 3:1-8

The thought came to me, "That's what happened to you in the movie theater."

I had become a new creation by the Lord Jesus Christ's salvation. 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15

This can happen to all.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:16-17
