Study to show yourself approved to ____________

Whose approval do we want?

If I please people, I won't be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10

We can seek to benefit others.

Not seeking my own profit but the profit of many so that they can be saved. I Corinthians 10:33

Are we life-long learners who DO study?

What do we study to grow spiritually?

You study the Scriptures thoroughly because you think in them you possess eternal life, and it is these same Scriptures that testify about Me [Jesus], but you're not willing to come to Me so that you may have life [spiritual life]. John 5:39-40

Maybe you think that the Bible is worth studying. Its words are to point to the Lord Jesus Christ.

And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me [Jesus]. Luke 24:44

If we examine the Scriptures to make sure that what we've believed or heard or read recently is correct, Acts 17:11 let's be careful to NOT twist, distort, or explain these things falsely to our own destruction. 2 Peter 3:15-16

Let's seek the honor that comes from God the Father only. John 5:44

Study to show [or seek to present] yourself approved to God, a work person NOT needing to be ashamed, but correctly dividing [or surgically dissecting] the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
