Think of character traits or powers that people have.
"I wish I had his faith."
"They have such peace in their difficulties."
"I've never seen such joy that this girl has."
"That boy will make a lot of money selling insurance when he grows up; he can persuade so powerfully in such innocence."
We admire or are amazed at human qualities and abilities.
For spiritual people, can we aspire to have more?
We could study numerous attributes and abilities that are divine --
the God-kind of love, faith, hope, joy, peace, patience, healings, miracles, forgiveness, salvation, prosperity, compassion, wisdom, knowledge, to name a few.
Are any of these possible to have in this life, even in small amounts?
Each are worthy to explore and could be helpful, don't you think?
Suggestion:
Look up these keywords in the Bible.
See if we can have some of these now to assist us to live well in the Lord Jesus Christ's abundant life. John 10:10
Here are a few examples to get us started --
Do you want the God-kind of love?
And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who was given to us. Romans 5:5
Do you want the God-kind of faith?
And on the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all. Acts 3:16
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Romans 10:17
Do you want the God-kind of hope?
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Do you want the God-kind of joy?
As the Father has loved Me, [Jesus] so have I loved you. Now remain in My love. If you keep My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and remain in His love. I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. John 15:9-11
And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52
That which we have seen and heard declare we to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we to you, that your joy may be full. 1 John 1:34
Other Scriptures we might think about in the context of divine life in believers now include these --
Some of the Pharisees asked Jesus, "When will the kingdom of God come?"
Jesus answered, "God’s kingdom is coming, but not in a way that you will be able to see with your eyes. People will not say, 'Look, here it is!' or, 'There it is!' because God’s kingdom is within you." Luke 17:20-21
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, for His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. Through these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world on account of lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4
