What's the difference between singing and worship?

Can we sing songs that have spiritual content but still not worship?
The words may be Bible-based or even one of, or part of the 150 psalms in the Old Testament.
The words we sing might have teaching value, too, as we sing new psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Psalm 33:3; Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16
However, if we're singing because this is part of a religious or spiritual meeting, are we really entering into heart worship of God Who seeks people to worship Him in spirit and in truth? John 4:23-24
If we're singing because its "congregational singing" time, let's be careful that it isn't just a "sing along."
No matter how much enthusiasm seems to be on display, no matter how many musical instruments are played and heard (or not used), no matter how many choir members and "worship leaders" are seen and heard, our personal worship can be in danger of being swept away by the natural or fleshly performance.
We can't worship through someone else.
Each of us can offer the sacrifice of praise continually, even if we do it together.
By Him [Jesus] therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name. Hebrews 13:15
Sometimes we can get lured into thinking, "Wow, THIS is a worship experience" if we see so many people singing, music blaring, flags waving, lights flashing, and other things that we see.
But is this really worshiping the Father and praising the Lord Jesus Colossians 3:16-17 in the Spirit? Philippians 3:3
Are we placing confidence in a fleshly event?
We're to worship God in the Spirit and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3
Jesus said that the flesh or natural ways of thinking and acting don't profit because it's the Spirit that gives life. John 6:63
Carefully, we can self-evaluate ourselves 1 Corinthians 11:31; 2 Corinthians 13:5 and think about the words of Jesus Who commented on some in His day who honored the Lord with their lips but whose heart was far from Him. Matthew 15:7-8
If we only go through the motions, which may look like worship to some but in reality it's fake worship, how can we stop it?
Each of us as individuals can make sure that we lock into the Father and Jesus as we drink into the Holy Spirit and enter true worship by Him. 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 2:18, 22
"I will praise the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth." Psalm 34:1
Then, our singing about Him can be TO HIM as we submit our lives to Him Hebrews 5:9; James 4:6-7; 1 Peter 5:6 Who is worthy to be praised. Psalm 18:3
And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb [Jesus] Who was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be to Him [God the Father] Who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb for ever and ever. Revelation 5:11-13
