Many who have attended Christian church meetings are familiar with what's usually called, The Lord's Prayer.

Two sentences in this prayer say the following --

Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

Whose kingdom is to come? God the Father's kingdom. Matthew 6:9

Whose will is to be done on earth as it is done in heaven? God the Father's will. Matthew 6:9

Can a believer's holy desires Mark 11:22-24 be laid aside at any season in life so all that we REALLY want are these two things?

"Father, Your kingdom come and Your will be done here as it's done in heaven."

Can we have the mindset of the Lord Jesus Christ as Paul advised?

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, Who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and being born in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross. Philippians 2:5-8

Several keywords and phrases from these Scriptures might be noticed to help us have the Lord's mind. 1 Corinthians 2:16

Though you may be something, don't consider it something to be held onto.

Empty yourself. Lay aside your rights to have this or that.

Be a servant of the Lord.

Then, humble yourself further to be obedient; no matter what the cost.

We could also consider these examples shown by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Then I [Jesus] said, Behold, here I am, coming to do Your will, O God–[to fulfill] what is written of Me in the volume of the Book. Hebrews 10:7

And He [Jesus] withdrew from them [His disciples v.39] about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, saying, "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done." Luke 22:41-42

I [Jesus] came down from heaven to do what God wants Me to do, not what I want to do. John 6:38

Your thoughts?
